Privacy policy
This page explains what information is collected when you use colorcodekit.com, and how it is used. Last updated: .
The short version
The colour tools on this site run in your browser. The colours you pick, the images you drop into the image tools, and the palettes you build are processed locally on your device and are not uploaded to our servers. We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect names, emails or passwords through the tools.
Like most free sites, we use a small number of third-party services for analytics and advertising. Those services may set cookies and collect standard technical data. The details are below.
Information collected automatically
When you visit, standard technical information may be logged by our hosting and the third-party services we use — for example your IP address (often truncated/anonymised), browser type, device type, referring page, and which pages you view. This is used to keep the site running, understand which tools are useful, and serve advertising.
Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. On this site they are used by our analytics and advertising partners (described below). Some tools may also use your browser's local storage to remember preferences on your own device — that data stays in your browser and is not sent to us. You can clear or block cookies and local storage in your browser settings; the tools will still work, though some conveniences may reset.
Third-party services we use
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site — which tools are popular, how people arrive, and where things can be improved. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects usage data such as pages viewed and approximate location. We do not use it to identify you personally. You can read Google's practices in the Google Privacy Policy, and you can opt out across sites with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Google AdSense
We may display ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits. You can control personalised advertising through Google Ad Settings, and learn more in the Google Advertising policy.
Adsterra
We also display ads served by Adsterra, an advertising network. Adsterra and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to measure and serve advertising. You can learn about their data practices in the Adsterra Privacy Policy.
Third-party cookies and your choices
The advertising and analytics partners above set their own cookies, governed by their own privacy policies. To manage or limit these, you can: adjust Google Ad Settings, use your browser's cookie controls, use private/incognito browsing, or opt out via industry pages such as YourAdChoices (DAA) and Your Online Choices (EU).
Data from outside the EU / region notes
If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK, or a region with similar laws (such as California under the CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data held about you, and to object to certain processing. Because the personal data on this site is collected and held by our third-party analytics and advertising partners rather than by us directly, requests of this kind are usually best directed to those providers using the links above. You may also contact us and we will help where we can.
Children
This site is a general-audience set of tools and is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site or the services it uses change. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the latest version.
