About the Tailwind palette
Tailwind ships with a carefully tuned default palette. Each colour family — slate, red, blue and so on — runs through 11 steps from 50 (almost white) to 950 (almost black), with 500 as the base. The even perceptual spacing is what makes Tailwind palettes look balanced out of the box.
